Balance is something I’m always working on. Whether it’s with nutrition, mobility or work and relaxation, I know I need to be mindful of balance. Ancient wisdom can be a useful tool when seeking to understand more about what our bodies need to be successful in our optimum health journey.
Ayurveda is one of the oldest yet most modern and influential oriental medicines. The history of Ayurveda in India began in 1500 BC as the Hindu tradition. Can be found in the Atharvaveda, one of the four ancient books of knowledge and indigenous culture, which speaks of more than 114 Ayurvedic treatments to cure a variety of ailments.

Vata, pitta, and kapha—collectively known as the doshas—are one of the most foundational concepts in Ayurveda.
In essence, the doshas are energetic forces of nature, functional principles that help us better understand ourselves.

Ayurvedic theory states that all areas of life impact one's health, so it follows that the dosha’s cover a wide variety of topics, including health and healthcare techniques, astrology, spirituality, government and politics, art, and human behavior.
