Small Incremental Goals: Focus on gradual, sustainable progress rather than quick fixes. Build a lifestyle you love filled with actions that you enjoy.
Focus on Progress, Not Perfection: Celebrate small victories along the way, such as preparing healthier food or increased physical activity, rather than obsessing over perfection. You’ll never be perfect instead focus on how fast you can get back on track whenever you deviate from your plans. Don’t let one meal turn into 3 days of bad choices. How fast can you rebound?
Visualize Success: Use visualization techniques to imagine yourself reaching your weight loss goals. Picture how you’ll feel, how your energy will change, and how your overall health will improve. See and feel yourself in situations where you are at your desired weight goal.
Develop a Growth Mindset: Understand that weight loss is a journey that involves learning, growth, and habit changes. Focus on the multiple health benefits from changing your behaviors like improved energy, better sleep, blood pressure and strength rather than just the number on the scale.
Prioritize Long-Term Health Over Short-Term Results: Shift your mindset from “dieting” to creating a forever lifestyle that benefits your overall health. This will help you make sustainable choices.
Stay Consistent: Almost anything can be achieved with consistent action over time. Understand that true change takes time. Focus on consistent effort and practice patience, knowing that small, positive changes add up over time to create lasting weight loss results. Ideal body weight is a product of practicing a healthy lifestyle over time.
Engage: Use products and services that build you up and put you in a healthy lifestyle setting. Join a walking group, engage in group health coaching calls, use products that encourage your health goals.
We have to have skin in the game. Get on a support system for your weight loss goals. There is no such thing as a silver bullet. It’s going to take commitment to make the changes we want, but I do believe we can be encouraged and motivated by healthy support through products and services. We tend to invest more when we commit to a system to get to our goal rather than just taking an approach like trying to cut calories. So be precise!

Focus on protein every meal

Choose volume in foods (a bowl full of grapes vs a handful of raisins)
Purposeful movement 10,000 steps a day
